(More customer reviews)After a very thorough review of the portable generator market, I settled on the Champion 7000. Solid, quality construction at a great price. 1.5" tubular frame compared to 1" on competitive units. Full steel wheels and gas tank rather than plastic. It weighs ~220 pounds. More features for the price (.e. electric start). 389cc OHV and in fact, its interesting to note that most units (if not all?) in this category have a 389 or 420cc and all are made in China (yes I validated with competitors). Quiet operation at least similar if not better than others in this category (remember it is a gas engine after all). Took me five minutes to put wheels and stand on frame - very simple. Great technical support and addressed my many pre-purchase questions.
