I have installed several standby power systems requiring external power boxes. In the past I always used metal boxes because they were readily available. One particular customer was worried about being shocked on a metal box even though I explained that the boxes were grounded. To allay their fears, I went with this plastic box.
This box is very nicely made. The plastic is thick and appears to be very durable. There are no sharp edges. It took paint more uniformly than the metal boxes have. Finally, there are no concerns about corrosion. I would not hesitate to use one again and actually prefer it to the metallic version
