3.5 stars is closer to what I'm thinking. First, let me say that I've saved quite a bit of time using this steam press over a traditional iron. I like the product and would likely buy another if it broke. That being said, there are some criticisms...
First, half-star loss due to the minuscule amount of water it takes. In two uses, I've abandoned the "Max" line and filled the little sucker with as much as it can hold. What really stinks is the useless compartment to hold the power cord could easily have been used for water had the designers wanted. Instead, the unit comes with the cord shoved in this hole underneath the press. Once you take the cord out, it's pretty much out until you move to another house. All that space could have been used for holding water. It's difficult to explain - buy it and you'll see what I mean.
Second, half-star loss due to there not being any steam holes at the narrow end. About 8" from the "point" of the steamer, the steam holes stop. So you basically have a nice rectangle of space which gets steam, but the point doesn't. There's plenty of room for more holes; why they are neglected I'll never know.
Third, half-star loss due to the tight quarters. I'm learning, but until I've mastered using the press I'm doomed to more burned knuckles. There is about 1.5 inches of space at the back of the unit - not nearly enough for getting your fingers in there and straightening out your clothes before pressing.
Freebies:
1) The press is pretty small, smaller than a door-bound ironing board. That being said, you can see that before you buy so no excuse (though I would prefer it to be just a bit bigger).
2) I bought the stand to go with it but the stand is impossibly small. It's more comfortable (and natural) to press clothes standing on my knees using the Kalorik stand. No star loss for the press, but best believe I'm on may way to the stand and doing some damage there!
Summary:
I'm not too hard to please (check my other reviews) but I am disappointed. It's just too much money for the problems I'm experiencing. The time saved is magnificent and well worth the purchase, but at this price point I would have expected a 5-star product. Thanks for reading, and DO NOT BUY THE STAND (unless you're about 4' tall).
***EDIT: 2-Stars now***
Steam press broke (it thought it was closed all the time and wouldn't heat up) about 30 days after I bought it. Kalorik would not send pre-formed box so I had to custom fabricate one and send the product back on my own dime: approx twenty-five dollars without insurance. What they sent me was the smaller 22" model and now I'm arguing with them to send me the 34" press I bought and paying to ship the 22" model back. For the amount of time I've spent waiting, and the money I've spent on the press, stand, an iron (as a fill-in) and shipment, I could have hired someone to do the work. Unsatisfactory.

Give garments a "fresh from the cleaners" finish with this digital steam press. Ten times larger than ordinary irons, the unit's nonstick 34-by-11-inch pressing surface reduces pressing time by up to 50 percent, which means less fatigue and stress--it can even be operated while sitting. Simply fill the 15-ounce water tank with distilled water, turn the unit on, and adjust the material, temperature, and dry/steam settings using the digital control panel with LED display. Place the item to be steamed on the pressing plate and lower the handle, pulling the top pressing cover down to meet the bottom pressing plate; the appliance exerts just the right amount of pressure to quickly remove wrinkles from all types of fabric, including nylon, silk, rayon, wool, cotton, and linen. The steam press saves time and money and never requires any type of harsh chemicals. Other thoughtful details include a molded heating element to ensure even heat distribution, a built-in microchip for precise temperature control, a burst-of-steam function for removing stubborn wrinkles, automatic safety shut-off, a locking handle for easy carrying, and upright storage without any need to empty the water tank. A pressing cushion, funnel, and refill cup come included. The 1350-watt digital steam press measures 35-1/2 by 23-1/2 by 8-1/2 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.
