(More customer reviews)I have been the happy owner of one of these generators for about 4 years now. Although I bought mine used it has always started on the first pull and runs great! I use it with my RV for a minimum of 5 months a year. In my experience with generators over the past 40 years this one has by far exceeded my expectations.
I bought the generator from a commercial concrete company who had used it for 3 years. They expanded and went with a larger unit. So for the history of approximately 7 years the only thing done to the generator is regular general maintenance.
And it still runs like new...

Hopkins 10111/6 MFG 2-Cycle Oil-Mixing Tool Review

(More customer reviews)The Hopkins MixMizer is an all plastic graduated syringe that provides 2 cycle oil measurements, provided by Hopkins, for 1 pint fuel/oil ratio's of 16:1, 25:1 32:1, 40:1, 50:1 and 100:1 it also provides 1 quart, ? Liter and 1 Liter fuel/oil mix ratio's for 25:1 32:1, 40:1, 50:1 and 100:1. For larger volumes of fuel you just increase the number of times you fill the syringe with oil, It also provides ?, 1, 1-1/2 and 2 oz measurements and 0 to 60 cc measurements in 2 cc increments. It takes very little practice to get consistent measurements if you use standard syringe filling procedures.
I did note that the black marks on the syringe provided by Hopkins tend to provide a slightly oil rich fuel / oil mix. My thoughts on 2 stroke engines is that it's better to error a little rich on oil than lean since I would rather foul a spark plug than seize an engine.
The plastic hose, nozzle extension, is handy to get towards the bottom of 1 quart oil bottles but it is not long enough to get to the bottom of larger oil containers. After using the syringe to extract oil from the bottle, with the nozzle on, I remove the extension to avoid an oil rich mix before injecting the oil into the fuel container. I have found that the MixMizer is a lot less messy than using a graduated cylinder or trying to use a measuring spoon since you are able to force almost all of the oil from the syringe. I noted that a few cc's of oil are retained in the tip of the syringe. Most of this residual oil can be expelled back into the oil bottle by cycling the syringe a few times. The only things that it doesn't come with are a cap to keep the nozzle clean and a zip lock bag to store it in.

(More customer reviews)This gas tank was a perfect fit, Briggs & Stratton replacement part for my Weed Eater lawnmower, model WE677MHA which employs a 5 HP Briggs & Stratton engine.
I didn't have the gas tank part number to know if this tank would fit my mower but I ordered the tank anyway based upon the tank picture presented on the Amazon product page. I was relieved and happy to find that it fit perfectly and solved my gasoline leaks which occurred when the tank was filled more than half way -- the gasoline leaked out of several spots along the seam between the top and bottom halves.
The mower is quite old but still starts and mows well so I'm glad to be able to fill the tank fully and use the mower until I can no longer repair it myself economically.
Even though the fuel tank seemed to be priced a bit high, I'm very satisfied now that it's installed and operational. I trust it will last as long as the original tank.

(More customer reviews)Briggs and Stratton reinvented the wheel with a square. There is nothing good I can say about this gas can and I cannot say enough bad things about this gas can. The spout is a piece of crap. It will take you 15 minutes to figure out how to get gas to come out, and when you do, it dispenses at a rate of about 1 gallon every 10 seconds (NO LIE!). This is great, except it leaks everywhere and dispenses most of it on your hand.
This seems like a great idea, BUT a regular gas can works perfectly fine. Save time, money, and frustration...DO NOT BUY THIS. I am thankful I bought this at a local retailer and I swiftly returned this gas can. This product is so worthless I felt obligated to post a review on Amazon.

(More customer reviews)I opted for this unit over many of the others I researched for its mix of features, brand reputation, warranty, and price range. Once it was delivered I had it assembled and running in minutes. Initially, I was a bit disappointed to discover the number of plastic components that were part of the construction. It "felt cheap" as I was putting it together. I may find myself upgrading some of the plastic parts(such as the wand handle) to something better, or I may be forced to do so as these parts wear out. Once I had it running (it started on the first pull of the cord) and tested it out on some surfaces, it did exactly what I needed it to do. The low pressure additives (soap, chemicals) inlet hose works great.
I bought this washer for a couple special projects that I needed to get done. The first was the cleaning of my pool surface and the other to take care of some badly stained concrete and pave stones. For both of these jobs the Briggs & Stratton 020274 is turning out to be a good choice. I was a bit surprised that in order to get the surfaces clean I needed to place the spray head pretty close to the surface which narrowed the width of surface I was cleaning - less than 2 inches wide. So at 3000psi I was still required to make several narrow passes over the surface to get the job done. I don't know if that tells me that a higher psi would get the job done faster or not. The experts all seem to agree that 3000 is plenty for the do-it-yourself-ers and general around the house jobs. In retrospect, I might have gone the next level if the price wasn't so incrementally higher.
I think I made the right choice and I would recommend it to others.

It starts easily (if you unload the pump by pulling the trigger when starting like the manual tells you) and works beautifully. I only have ~ 2days use on the washer and haven't let it run for more that 5 sec without pulling the trigger because I don't want to have to rebuild the pump & seals.
I bought a rotating nozzle @ Home Depot for $37.00 and, it too, worked great until the end of my job and then it stopped rotating. I returned it for a new one.

(More customer reviews)Was looking for a generator to help me power some circuits at the house since I work from home. I have a few circuits, including my office computer/network equipment, full size fridge and some misc., house circuits. This is probably more than needed for that, but I also have an electric water heater that runs on 220 @ 4500 watts. I will be replacing it soon with a hybrid electric water heater which should draw much less power on normal operation.
In any case, so far I have unpacked the generator and run it to make sure it works before the electrician comes and hooks up the transfer switch stuff. Assembly was minimal, just add the wheel and support kits, plus the handles. I think added the oil and fuel. The oil fill is under so you'll need a long necked funnel and I would suggest a nice big syringe with a hose in case you overfill.
When I first ran the unit it would not hold it's low idle speed, it would shut down pretty quickly. I decided to run it at the full speed for about 15 minutes to let it get acclimated and now it seems to run just fine.
I was able to buy the reliance power plug and box that my electrician recommended from Amazon as well (Reliance LL550C and PB50), the transfer switch I needed was not available on Amazon. I also ordered the cover, which fits nice. I'd call it more of a dust cover, was thinking it was going to be all weather but it will last for a while.
I struggled initially to find the right way to order this on Amazon. Everywhere I had seen this generator said it was California CARB compliant and I found the $999 version of this generator on Amazon and it was letting me order it, so it seemed like the right thing. However, when it came to shipping that one it said NO! I thought I would have to order outside of Amazon which I was trying to avoid, but the price was a lot higher. I then stumbled across this version, it's a little bit more than the other but the reason is because it is OK to ship to CA. It has tags all over it saying it's CARB inspected. The description on the $999 one is not clear enough I think to state it is not the CARB version and they should point you to this other one more easily.
UPDATE: All wired to the transfer box that I ordered and everything is functioning as planned. One note that I learned, we are powering the transfer panel through the big, main 50A plug on the generator. When you are plugged into this plug, it overrides the low idle circuit, so it will always run and the full speed. This is by design I suppose to make sure you don't miss a surge in power I guess.
I have ordered a hour meter that I am going to plug into the DC connection so I can track the hours of usage over time. I will add my own pictures to this product so you can see the setup.

It is very loud so your neighbors may object if you were to use it through the night, especially if they were sweating with no AC. I did notice that two LED displays, one on an alarm clock and one on a home theater PC(the display is always on, even with the PC off) didn't look right after being powered by this unit. I unplugged them, waited a half hour and plugged them back in and there was no permanent damage, so no problem. But I wouldn't try running sensitive equipment with this unit, say a computer or large screen display. It did run my 12,000 btu split AC, refrigerator, some lights and two large aquariums without any problems.

It came with 2 quarts of oil, an extra oil filter, an extra air filter, an extra spark plug, a spark plug wrench, a battery charger and fuel stabilizer. The electric start works great. The pull start will start the engine after 3 pulls. The frame is well built. It is very easy to move around. I haven't burned a full tank of fuel yet, but so far everything meets my expectations. I bought this generator to power 3 refrigerator/freezer units and my gas furnance fan. The generator noise isn't offensive but it isn't quiet either. Delivery was 1 day earlier than the estimated delivery date. If the hours per gallon were a little more and the generator was a little quieter, I would give it 5 stars.

(More customer reviews)My Snapper MRP2216014B (6hp, self propelled) mower was declared dead and given to me by neighbors after having been submerged in salt flood water for eight hours. Following 5 oil flushes and total breakdown and reassembly, the carb was still a problem. I almost gave up and actually loaded the mower for a run to the dump but found this 498170 carb on Amazon and took a chance. It was shipped by ASC Auto Parts and arrived quickly, no problems. I Installed the carb on the Briggs 12H802 motor and it ran the motor immediately. I have since adjusted the Snapper drive and the mower cuts perfectly and with power. I could kick myself for almost trashing it. Most all Briggs motors are worth repairing.
